My husband is one of those people who flat out refuses to eat take away. One of the very few things he admits are tasty is Nando’s chicken livers. I might actually be shooting myself in the foot by having worked on developing this recipe because he will probsbly say what is the point in going to Nando’s when you can do it!

I have seen a few recipes online that use Nando’a Peri Peri sauce. They wor brilliantly but me being me I have changed a few things around and I think they it worked. So here i the recipe using ready sauce

You will need

Butter, about 2 tablespoons
1 large onion finely chopped
500g chicken livers, chopped to bit size chunks
1 teaspoon Paprika
2 Bay Leaves
2 cloves of garlic
120ml white wine
Salt and pepper
Nando’s Peri Peri sauce

Method;

  • Fry the onion in the butter for about 10 minutes. You want the onion to be well cooked before adding the livers.¬†
  • Add garlic, Bay leaves, Paprika and seasoning and fry for another minute or so
  • Throw in the livers and fry for a couple of minutes until (no longer pink)
  • Pour in white win and let simmer for about¬†
